Couldn’t recommend enough to learn about the food markets, the basque way of cooking. Interactive small experience which lead to rich conversation among the group. A highlight of our trip!Posted on Sonia Montero Bianchi (SoniaMB)Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My partner and I had a wonderful time at the cooking class hosted by Patricio. The tour of the market and local produce shops gave us an appreciation for what it’s like to be a chef sourcing local ingredients in San Sebastián, and the cooking class was so much fun! We leaned to make Basque recipes in a relaxed setting, including cod, chuleta with peppers, tortilla and basque cheesecake. I learned a ton about Basque culture, food, slow cooking methods and our instructor was both knowledgeable and passionate. I will be coming back to take one of their longer and more technical courses after the great experience I had with my first course. It was a highlight of my time in San Sebastián!Posted on ulla wendelTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We really enjoyed the market tour and cooking class. Very professional, knowledgable and nice host. Good company and nice atmosphere with the other participants. We learned a few new tips and tricks and can now re-cook some of the Basque classics with a bit more confidence at home. The class could have been even more hands on for my taste, but as we were 7 people attending, the chef made sure everyone got to help out. It's a relatively high price point, but quality ingredients were used and good wine served.Posted on anthony dalyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I highly recommend the San Sebastián cookery class hosted by Patricio. We were given a tour of the local market explaining the regional provenance and philosophy of Catalan food. We were then brought to the schools kitchen, which was superb, and a lovely space to be thought the dishes we would prepare. Patricio brought us through the process expertly and patiently, while carefully explaining the science behind the preparation and cooking of the dishes. I have come away with lasting knowledge which I will be able to bring to my own cooking.Posted on Madison CohenTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I had such an amazing time at this cooking class in San Sebastián. Our instructor was incredibly fun, welcoming, and knowledgeable, and made the entire experience feel relaxed and engaging from start to finish. We learned how to prepare traditional local dishes while also hearing about Basque food culture and techniques, which made everything feel even more meaningful. The class was hands-on, well organized, and full of great energy — it never felt rushed or overly “touristy.” I left full, happy, and genuinely excited to recreate these dishes at home. One of the highlights of my time in San Sebastián and something I’d recommend to anyone who loves food and learning through experience.
